FAQ Brisbane
Will we initially meet with a Salesperson or the builder?
Our Principal Builder, Kevin Hattin, meets every prospective customer and oversees each stage of the project, from appraisal through to final construction. You will always deal directly with Kevin.

Will I have to engage an architect or draftsman to prepare plans for Council or Certifiers approval?
No, we have a full time draftsman who prepares your working drawings for approval.

Will I have to submit the plans to council or a Certifier myself?
No, we submit your plans for you and also organise and pay the relevant insurances, statutory body charges, Engineer Specifications, Certifier fees and Council fees.
![]()
How long does Council or the private Certifier take to approve the plans?
This depends on the plans submitted and the scale of the project, but normally plans are approved within 4 – 5 weeks.

Will I have to vacate the house while the extension/ renovations are being done?
We endeavour to minimise the disruption to your family during the construction process and make every effort to keep the site clean on a daily basis. On some larger projects, it may be necessary to vacate for a limited period where services are temporarily disconnected, typically in a Lift-in-build under project.

Will our second story extension or same level extension blend in with our existing home?
We aim to create a seamless extension and work hard to fully blend the new sections with the existing ones. To do this, we are meticulous in matching external cladding, roofing materials, windows and doors. Our extensions look like part of your house, never an add on.

How long will our extension / renovation take?
This will depend on the scope of the work. A typical second story extension takes approximately 12 weeks, while an extension to an existing level takes eight to ten weeks. This will of course vary depending on the complexity of the work and the existing house.
